Auxiliary Programs

The Auxiliary Team provides opportunities for students to connect with friends, discover new interests, and relax after school in the familiar and enriching school environment they already know. 

Extended Care

Extended Care: Extended care is offered with advanced registration.

Extended Care Hours:  Early care is available before the school day begins, and extended care is offered until 6:00 p.m. (5:30 p.m. for P1).

Preschool Extended Care: Consists of outdoor play, free choice in various activity centers and a late afternoon snack. Optional for-fee enrichment classes are also available, see below for details.

Elementary/Middle School Extended Care: Consists of free play and outdoor play. Optional for-fee enrichment classes are also available, see below for details.

Enrichment

The Enrichment Program takes place on the PKS campus. PKS continually seeks to identify new trusted partners to join our beloved favorites.

Enrichment classes are held throughout the school year and can be attended during the hours of extended care for both preschool and elementary students, with costs varying depending on the class. There are a variety of Mandarin and English class options each season. Please note, there are no enrichment classes on Fridays, only extended care.

Athletics

Presidio Knolls School typically offers a wide range of extracurricular athletic activities to promote physical fitness, team work, and social emotional development (Go PKS Pandas!). Our students participate in various recreational leagues such as San Francisco Vikings Microsoccer , and the San Francisco Independent Athletic League (SFIAL).

PKS offers K-8 Mandarin Immersion summer camp not only for students currently enrolled at PKS, but also those in SF and across the Bay Area interested in an innovative, engaging, and dynamic summer learning experience.

Some things to remember:

  • Preschool summer camp is restricted to PKS students only

  • Mandarin language skills are not required for kindergartners

  • Mandarin language skills are required for students in G1-G8.
