X Kids Summer Camp

Rising P2-P3 (PKS families), Rising K-G5 (everyone welcome), English Only

Week 1 (June 22-26): Minecraft

Campers will dive into the blocky world of Minecraft as they build, design, and problem-solve through hands-on challenges inspired by the game. In robotics, students will design and program creations that mimic Minecraft machines — from automated miners to moving mobs — learning sequencing, coding, and debugging along the way. During chess, campers will explore strategy and planning by tackling Minecraft-themed chess challenges, focusing on anticipating moves, protecting key pieces, and thinking several steps ahead. Throughout the week, teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking take center stage as campers bring their favorite game to life.

Week 2 (June 29-July 2, 4 days) : Harry Potter

Campers will step into the wizarding world for a week of magical thinking and clever strategy. In robotics, students will design and program enchanted creations inspired by spells, moving staircases, and magical creatures, learning how commands and sequences can bring ideas to life. During chess, campers will sharpen their strategic skills through wizard-themed challenges that emphasize planning ahead, protecting key pieces, and thinking like a master strategist. It’s a week full of creativity, logic, and a little bit of magic!

Week 3 (July 6-10): Pokemon

Get ready to train, battle, and evolve! Campers will explore the world of Pokémon through hands-on challenges that encourage problem-solving and teamwork. In robotics, students will build and program Pokémon-inspired creations, experimenting with movement, cause-and-effect, and basic coding concepts. Chess sessions will focus on strategy and decision-making, as campers learn how to plan moves, anticipate their opponent’s actions, and adapt — just like a real Pokémon Trainer.

Week 4 (July 13-17): Super Heroes

It’s time to suit up and save the day! Campers will take on superhero-inspired challenges that highlight creativity, leadership, and perseverance. In robotics, students will design and program heroic inventions and gadgets, learning how engineers solve problems and test ideas. During chess, campers will develop strategic thinking by learning when to defend, attack, and sacrifice — skills every great hero needs. This action-packed week encourages confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Week 5 (July 20-24): Star Wars

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Campers will explore the Star Wars universe while strengthening their logic and strategy skills. In robotics, students will build and program droid-inspired creations, learning how precise commands and problem-solving lead to success. Chess will focus on planning multiple moves ahead, recognizing patterns, and making thoughtful decisions — mastering the balance between patience and action, just like a true Jedi.

Week 6 (July 27-31): Sponge Bob

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Campers will dive into Bikini Bottom for a week of playful creativity and problem-solving. In robotics, students will design and program underwater-inspired creations, exploring movement, sequencing, and trial-and-error in a fun, imaginative way. During chess, campers will learn core concepts like turn-taking, strategy, and thinking ahead through lighthearted challenges that keep learning engaging and accessible for all skill levels.

Week 7 (August 3-7): Minecraft

Campers will return to the blocky world of Minecraft to build, design, and problem-solve through hands-on challenges inspired by the game. In robotics, students will design and program creations that mimic Minecraft machines — from automated miners to moving mobs — learning sequencing, coding, and debugging along the way. During chess, campers will explore strategy and planning through Minecraft-themed challenges, focusing on anticipating moves, protecting key pieces, and thinking several steps ahead.

Week 8 (August 10-14): Pokemon

Campers will end the summer by returning to the exciting world of Pokémon with new challenges and deeper strategy. In robotics, students will build and program more advanced Pokémon-inspired creations, experimenting with problem-solving and creative design. Chess sessions will build on earlier skills, encouraging campers to think critically, adapt strategies, and refine their gameplay — the perfect way to finish the summer strong!
