Presidio Knolls School was founded in 2008 as a preschool, combining a Reggio Emilia-inspired educational approach with Mandarin language immersion. In a few short years, we have built an amazing community of students, parents, faculty and staff committed to inspiring a lifelong passion for learning through an innovative Mandarin immersion PreK-8 education.

Our program delivers academic excellence using progressive educational best practices. We value the unique attributes of each child and support their intellectual, social and emotional development. Our goal is to prepare our students to contribute to society and succeed in a global world.

HIGHLY QUALIFIED FACULTY AND STAFF

We selectively recruit from around the world to maintain a world-class faculty and staff. We feature a low student/teacher ratio and more than half of our teachers have Masters degrees. We invest in significant ongoing training, coaching and development for our teachers to continuously enhance the learning experience for our students.

At PKS, we have built a passionate community of parents, teachers and administrators who collaborate to deliver the best educational experience possible to our children.  Together we drive the continuing enhancement and evolution of the school, contributing our skills, ideas, energy and time.  We are also proud that we are culturally, socially and economically diverse, enabling our students to learn from each other by exploring their differences and their commonalities.

NEW CAMPUS

Presidio Knolls is set in an urban oasis, in one of the sunniest pockets of San Francisco. The newly renovated preschool campus features light-filled classrooms with furnishings and materials designed to foster exploration and creativity. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EXPANSION

To meet growing demand for innovative Mandarin immersion programs, Presidio Knolls School is expanding to elementary grades in the fall of 2012.
