PKS Field Trip to San Francisco Exploratorium

PKS preschool class visited San Francisco Exploratorium of Science during July 2009. The Exploratorium isn’t just a museum; it’s an ongoing exploration of science, art, and human perception—a vast collection of online interactives, web features, activities, programs, and events that feed the curiosity of preschool students, elementary school students, and lifelong learners of all ages.

The trip started off with all the kids leaving the school with smiles, especially Charlotte. What a great adventure!

Some of the trip highlights included playing with the hand-crank generator, rolling marbles down the roulette wheel, testing out the pedal generator with different foot movements, dropping sand on the moving conveyor belt to create interesting shapes, learning more about astronauts and space in general, shooting baskets with basketballs and footballs, making gigantic bubbles come alive, creating volcano smoke puffs, playing “Jingle Bells” on a range of different muscial instruments, and much more.
